A new study confirms the beneficial effects of coffee on health.
Is coffee good or bad? The scientific community still can not agree on this issue despite the numerous studies that come out every year on the subject. Lately however it seems that either the camp of the pro-coffee is gaining ground. Less than a month after the publication of the survey showing that drinking reduces the risk of depression in women, a new study praising the coffee. This time scientists have for the American Association for Cancer Research in Boston announcing that drinking three cups a day would reduce by 20% in women the risk of contracting a basalioma or a squamous basacellulaire short, a skin cancer. For men, earnings fell to 9% compared to those who do not drink coffee. This survey was conducted between 1984 and 2008 over 100,000 people.
Scientists surprised
If a relationship was observed in mice between caffeine as an ointment and reducing the risk of skin cancer, epidemiological studies have not clearly shown the same link. "Our study indicates that coffee consumption may be an important option to help prevent the skin cancer," said Fengju Song, one of the authors of this study
would argue for more research on the subject.
In such investigations, it is always difficult to establish a genuine causal link between the use of coffee and reduced risk of contracting a disease. Taking the study on women and depression, we do not know if the coffee prevents depression or whether depressed women who do not drink coffee. Anxiety and insomnia are symptoms of the disease, the famous drink is so revealing, in their case, not very advisable in general.
